HOW THE 'ULTIMATE CHOCAHOLIC

I admit it. I'm a chocoholic. I love chocolate in almost any form. I admit it...I'm addicted to chocolate.

One day I decided to put together a simple notebook filled with a variety of recipes featuring chocolate as the main ingredient. I wanted to include more than just chocolate desserts. I wanted entrees¡­unusual drinks¡­ salads¡­ appetizers¡­etc. Whatever type of dish that was required for a complete dinner, I wanted a recipe for it...

I didn't realize what a task I had set for myself. The first thing I discovered was that chocolate recipe collections were mostly confined to desserts. It took some real digging to come up with other recipes for entrees, breads, unusual drinks and similar dishes. In fact, I started my research at ChocolateCub.com and quickly realized that if I wanted the very best secret chocolate recipes, the net just wasn't going to cut it.

So I started writing emails to restaurants...Emails to chefs... I made telephone calls and wrote letters via snail mail! Through this person-to-person correspondence, I found that the majority of restaurants and chefs as well as homemakers were more than happy to share their favorite chocolate recipe... As soon as I figured out that it was better for me to ask for just their favorite chocolate recipe, things started SHAKIN'!

Before I knew it, chefs from all over the world were referring me to other chefs... Homemakers to mothers and grandmothers... Restaurants to other restaurants... It seemed that everyone was more than willing to share ONE recipe with me!

The project took over two years to complete but I finally ended up with a collection of chocolate recipes I could refer to for almost any occasion or need and lots of these recipes have never been shared before now!

I don't know about you, but when I cook, I like to know something about the ingredients I'm using. Such things as where they come from and a little about their history. When I find the recipe I want, I print it out. When I'm done, I store that recipe in a special notebook that includes my 'favorites' collection.

This technique works well for most people rather than trying to print out over 2500 pages and having to manually sort through them when wanting to find something. Just let the computer do the searching for you.
